Maui Revisited, Day 3

I knew I should have stayed on the elliptical a little longer.

I had a hunch — knowing I was meeting up with a few other people yesterday, all from Oahu and all who love food as much as me — that we’d be eating for a good part of the day.

And we did.

We started with breakfast — if you can call it that — at T. Komoda Bakery in Makawao on the slopes of Haleakala and ended at the 30th annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival at the snazzy Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

It was a long day of eating, but hey, somebody has to do it.

Here’s what yesterday looked like:

Looks like one of those days where you should just have them bring the food to the elliptical. You’d likely wind up with a calorie surplus anyway from the looks of it.

I felt pretty sick at the end of this day… My bum ankle isn’t helping, either. All I could do was walk, elliptical and swim. Not enough to burn those calories!

Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, world-class wines, desserts beyond the imagination? – my jealousy is entirely transparent.

You know, the accommodations were amazing, I won’t lie. But I never spend enough time at the hotel/resort to make the most of it. Wish I did, though. Our room was crazy big!

Yep, it’s work. (smile) And my sister dogsat for us. She wound up buying liquor. LOL. I think the dogs drove her to the bottle!
